Going back in time just a bit, I found a few photos from the Jock River Paddle that I took while I was waiting for the paddlers to come into view.
This was the scene on a lovely spring day, the one photo not taken from the bridge.
A little later, while waiting on the bridge I looked down on the water and saw and photographed a few bits of vegetation.
I'm glad I rediscovered these photos, for I am reminded of a a very pleasant morning.
Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am gladvyou posted them, AC. Photos are exactly for that, aren't they, to takevus back to a time and place?
ReplyDeleteLOVE that lily pad with the vegetation!
ReplyDeleteNice and the memory triggered is fun, too.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing scenes taken from the perspective of eye level of a standing person. Somehow you just know if you walked up to that very place, you'd see it like that...and this way I don't have to move an inch!
ReplyDeleteNice memories for you.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I find, too! I find it helps my mental health to reflect on my photos and my good times.
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful looking setting!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice place to go and relax. Nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought the lily pad was a sting ray. Time for new glasses?
ReplyDeleteI really love the 2nd shot. It is of Zen serenity
ReplyDeleteYou photograph a pleasant healthy wetland.
ReplyDeleteVery nice images
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely glimpse into a serene spring morning! Your photos beautifully capture the quiet moments before the excitement of the paddle begins. It’s wonderful how nature’s simple details—like the vegetation in the water—can evoke such calm and appreciation. Rediscovering these snapshots must have felt like a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy life’s small pleasures.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this peaceful scene and your thoughtful reflections. It’s a great reminder to pause and notice the beauty around us, even in waiting moments.
Greetings from Indonesia
How many paddles did the paddlers paddle when they did paddle? Very cool photography!
